Management Tutors – Freelance +

Management Tutors – Freelance

Location: UK, Europe
Hours: Fully flexible – to suit personal circumstances
Salary: tbc

We have established a panel of freelance management tutors who work on-line providing support, guidance and direction for students engaged in self-managed study within a broad curriculum of management, business and organizational subjects at all levels from three (pre-university) thru’ five (professional development/foundation degree) to seven (masters degree) of the UK National Qualifications Framework.  The benchmark awards available from Marshall Gurney Institute are Manager and Chartered Chartered Fellow with the Chartered Management Institute.

At Marshall Gurney Institute we place great emphasis on learning as opposed to teaching.  The role of a tutor is therefore very much one of ‘learning facilitator’ or mentor with student contact wholly through email, chatrooms/bulletin boards or webinar.  Telephone/Skype contact is wholly at the tutors discretion.  Learning is organized in 10 credit/100 hour modules each requiring assessment of a reflective learning journal and an assignment.  Tutors may be required to act as first or second marker on subjects within their field.

We are looking for people who are motivated by enabling others to learn and develop, have experience in working at levels 3 thru’ 7 either within academe or in business at middle management to senior executive levels and are computer/internet literate.  Ideally they should have direct experience within at least one area of management in the public, private or social enterprise sectors.  Comprehensive induction and development is provided.
